Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Book Keeper to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing all book keeping needs, AR and AP, completing daily invoicing, liaising with customers, payroll, managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

This role requires proficiency in various accounting software quick books and a strong understanding of corporate finance principles.

The Book keeper will play a crucial role in financial auditing to support the organization’s financial health.

Responsibilities

•

Must be local to Plamondon, Alberta.

•

Ability to travel to Plamondon, daily.

•

Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.

•

Full cycle general ledger management - Monitoring and posting invoices received for payment, reconcile the ledgers to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

•

Reconcile bank and credit cards as required within QBs

•

Assist with the transaction processing of day-to-day cash management and treasure management.

•

Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements and provide analysis.

•

Review processes to improve data quality and create efficiencies

•

Assist in the completion of tax payment obligations such as payroll source deduction remittances, GST returns, WCB, etc..

•

Prepare 13 weeks cast forecast for actual results and changes to forecast assumption.

•

Support equipment financing activities including analysis of lease proposals, lease schedule maintenance and reporting to management as required.

•

Prepare and provide supporting documentation and schedules for financial statement audits and vendor audits.

•

Maintain proper training documentation, and cross train with members of the department to provide vacation coverage.

•

Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned and may be amended from time to time to meet company/organizational objectives.

Education and Experience

•

Certificate or Diploma in Book Keeping required.

•

Certificate or Diploma in accountancy considered an asset.

•

5 year experience in book keeping, SP, AR, payroll, GST filing.

•

Advanced experience with quick books.

•

Strong computer skills – require intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Suite, especially Excel (formulas, data filters, pivot tables)

•

Experience in mechanical field, work orders, tools and parts inventory.
