Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development & Sales Professional to drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships within the industry. This is a high-impact role with significant opportunity for growth, leadership and long-term career development. As one of the first dedicated sales hires at Spriggs Excavation, you will play a key role in shaping our vision to develop and build admired partnerships.



Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with developers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) firms, and general contractors.

Lead sales initiatives from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.

Work closely with company leadership to develop and refine the business development strategy, tools, and processes.

Collaborate with estimators and project teams to deliver accurate and compelling bids.

Represent Spriggs Excavation at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Track and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities using CRM software.

Provide competitive market intelligence and strategic insights to inform growth decisions.



Required Skills and Abilities:

Minimum of 5 years proven success in business development or sales in construction, civil engineering, or renewable energy industries.

Strong existing network within renewable energy development or EPC sectors.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and comfort operating in a startup-like environment where processes are evolving.

Familiarity with construction bidding and project estimation.

Self-starter with a growth mindset and a high degree of autonomy.



Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
