Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Cabinet Shop Foreman who is proactive, accountable, and skilled at optimizing workflow. This key role involves managing daily operations, scheduling, material procurement, supplier relations, and identifying inefficiencies to continuously improve shop performance.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Manage and monitor production schedules proactively to meet deadlines.
•
Order materials strategically to align with production requirements.
•
Maintain supplier relationships to and shop for best pricing.
•
Identify inefficiencies and proactively communicate solutions with ownership to maximize productivity.
•
Facilitate weekly team meetings, clearly defining weekly objectives.
•
Hands-on involvement in cabinet building and sanding, including occasional overtime.
•
Coordinate communication between all departments to ensure smooth workflow.
•
Uphold and enforce Royal Cabinets Inc.'s standards of excellence and quality.
•
Facilitate training and foster an environment for skill growing of team ensuring the advancement of team's success.
•
Manage team to ensure productivity enforcing company policy while maintaining a positive work environment.
•
Communicating with ownership effectively establishing clear channels, ensuring regular updates and actively soliciting feedback.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum 5 years’ experience in custom cabinet production leadership.
•
Comprehensive knowledge of cabinet construction methods (face-framed, inset, frameless).
•
Proficiency with machinery: table saws, drum sanders, edge banders, chop saws, drill presses, and band saws as well as other equipment and tools.
•
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
•
Ability to proactively identify and solve workflow inefficiencies.
•
High level of personal accountability.
•
Understands how to order materials like hardwoods and sheet goods.
•
Bonus: Experience operating CNC machinery.
