Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Project Manager to oversee our operations in our Fixtures and Fabrications shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the carpentry trade as well as knowledge of 3d drawing in CAD. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
•
Supervise daily shop operations and manage staff to ensure efficient workflow.
•
Oversee project timelines and ensure that all work meets quality standards.
•
Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional service.
•
Maintain inventory of materials and tools necessary for ongoing projects.
•
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the shop.
•
Perform hands-on work as needed
•
CNC programming
•
Coordinate deliveries to job sites
Requirements
•
Proven experience in the cabinet industry
•
Strong knowledge of hand tools and equipment used in a fixtures and fabrication shop
•
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
•
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
•
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
•
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
