Join Our Team at Sureway Metals as a CAD Technologist!

We are currently seeking a CAD Technologist to join our team in Calgary and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Utilize AutoCAD, Tekla, and Inventor to develop precise 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication.
•
Generate accurate NC1 and DXF files for production, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
•
Read and interpret shop drawings, engineering specifications, and customer requirements to produce high-quality designs.
•
Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure designs meet project needs.
•
Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, to support drafting activities and project documentation.
•
Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all drawings.
•
Manage multiple projects effectively, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
•
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, and Inventor is essential.
•
Experience with nesting software is considered an asset.
•
Strong understanding of structural and mechanical design principles related to steel fabrication.
•
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications accurately.
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
•
Highly organized with excellent time management skills to prioritize workload effectively.
•
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
•
Must have dependable transportation.
