About the Role:
The Cathode Optimization Lead will be responsible for leading the research and development of cathode formulations for our solid-state battery products. This role involves managing a team of scientists and engineers, developing new formulations, and optimizing existing ones to enhance battery performance.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage the cathode development team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
•Develop and optimize cathode formulations to improve battery performance, including energy density, cycle life, failure analysis etc.
•Design and execute experiments to evaluate the properties and performance of cathode materials and formulations.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and quality control, to integrate new materials/formulations into battery products.
•Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
•Prepare and present detailed technical reports and presentations on research findings.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
•Manage lab resources, including equipment, and materials.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in cathode material development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
•Extensive knowledge of cathode chemistry and battery materials.
•Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
