Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, vac trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. This role involves driving routes for restoration jobs safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
•
Operate different types of trucks, including dump trucks, vac trucks and flatbed vehicles, for restoration jobs.
•
Perform route driving to ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
•
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
•
Maintain accurate records including logs of hours driven and mileage.
•
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
•
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
•
Communicate effectively with supervisor, owners and customers regarding restoration work and any issues that may arise.
Experience
•
Proven experience as a Truck Driver, preferably in roles involving dump truck, vac truck operation or flatbed driving.
•
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
•
Experience in freight handling, including loading and unloading procedures.
•
Strong understanding of route planning and navigation skills.
•
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
•
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
