Byrne & Jones Construction is the number one asphalt paving company in the St. Louis metro area. We are also one of the largest builders of athletic facilities in the Midwest—turf Fields, Running Tracks, and playing Courts. Concrete flatwork, structural concrete, soil stabilization, and micro-surfacing round out our construction services.

We seek an experienced CDL dump truck driver for our Paving Division based in Bridgeton, MO.

Responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:

•

Safely drives dump trucks to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area to deliver rock and/or asphalt to our project sites and crews.

•

Ability to load and haul equipment on TAG tri-axle trailers behind dump trucks. Equipment might typically include pavers and skid-steers.

•

Makes daily pre/post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and trailers to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or non-working parts.

•

Maintains a truck log following state and federal regulations and company policy.

•

Communicate regularly with the operations manager to ensure that the delivery schedule is followed and that any traffic problems or site conditions are reported promptly.

•

Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair, following the guidelines specified by company policy.

•

Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications include but are NOT limited to:

•

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and good driving history is required.

•

Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.

•

Must pass or have recently passed DOT physical.

•

Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
