CNC Operator

CNC Machine Operator Levels 2-3 – 2nd Shift

BACKGROUND

Prosper-Tech is a family owned (~25 people) CNC machining service provider for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. We are looking to add to our operations team to keep up with strong customer demand in 2025.

JOB TYPE & BENEFITS

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Operator Level 1:

o High school diploma or equivalent

o Strong work ethic and team player

Operator Level 2: All the above plus experience below

o At least 2 years’ experience operating CNC mills and or CNC Lathes

Operator Level 3: All the above plus experience below

o At least 2 years’ experience operating CNC mills and or CNC Lathes

SKILLS REQUIRED

Operator Level 1:

o Ability to communicate verbally and written and work well with others

o Ability to use a digital work system to track time and part counts.

o Willingness to learn

Operator Level 2: All the above plus skills below

o Machine operation – familiar with Brother and HAAS CNC mills and FANUC controlled Lathes a plus

o Blueprint reading for dimensions and tolerances.

o Use of hand measuring tools (micrometers, height gages, gages, etc.)

o Must be able to pick up work offsets and tool offsets.

o Must be able to build cutting tool assemblies off set-up sheets with assistance from set-up machinist.

o Must be able to set up repeat jobs with assistance from set-up machinist.

Operator Level 3: All the above plus skills below

o Must be able to build cutting tool assemblies off set-up sheets autonomously.

o Must be able to set up repeat jobs autonomously.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
