General Purpose
Under the general supervision of the State Compliance Manager, the Compliance Coordinator provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities)
•Prepare and submit regular and special reports to regulatory agencies in compliance with relevant standards.
•Compile, evaluate, and review data related to wastewater exceedances; provide detailed responses to the wastewater coordinator to ensure accurate documentation in the monthly discharge monitoring report submitted to the State.
•Apply knowledge of wastewater treatment, disposal, and pump station control and monitoring principles, theories, and practices.
•Demonstrate knowledge in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
•Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, ordinances, and guidelines related to wastewater treatment, disposal, and facility operations.
•Utilize computer applications and software effectively to support operational functions.
•Review laboratory reports for exceedances, discrepancies, and accuracy; collaborate with the area manager and operator to address exceedance notifications and ensure proper resampling procedures.
•Prepare detailed analytical reports, interpreting test results and offering actionable insights.
•Organize, present, and communicate recommendations clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Understand, track, and ensure adherence to specific wastewater facility permit conditions. Working with client where applicable to obtain authorization for additional compliance reporting outside of facility operations contract
•Conduct quality control checks on reports prepared by the compliance coordinator before submission to regulatory agencies on a monthly basis.
•Assist with responses to inspection letters, ensuring compliance with specified conditions.
Minimum Training and Experience
•High school or GED diploma
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel,
•Proficient in Microsoft Word
