Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in our accounting processes in a construction business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking multiple jobs / projects on a daily basis, processing accounts receivables, payables, and assisting with budgeting and tax preparation. This role is essential in providing financial insights that support our business operations.
Duties
•Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
•Track daily costs per job and allocate the costs accordingly
•Prepare and maintain Quickbooks or similar, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
•Assist in budgeting processes by tracking expenditures and forecasting future financial needs.
•Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
•Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline bookkeeping processes.
•Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy of financial data.
•Provide support between client and construction team, with tracking costs vs budget
•Create change orders for additional work or increases in budget
Skills
•Proficiency in accounting software, we are open to changing software's if there is one the employee may be more familiar with or work better for construction processes.
•Strong understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
•Experience with general ledger accounting practices.
•Familiarity with budgeting processes and tax preparation.
•Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
