THE POSITION

Our company is hiring an experienced Carpenter to help us with many aspects of construction work. The carpenter constantly seeks to improve their skill level and works under the direction of the Lead Carpenter. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in construction, enjoy working on renovations, and have the capability to be self-directed. Successful employees will have the opportunity to learn and grow with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other drawings.

•

Use tools to measure, mark and layout dimensions of materials and surfaces such as floors, walls and ceilings.

•

Carry, set up, adjust, and operate hand and power tools.

•

Load and unload building materials and tools.

•

Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

•

Clean and maintain tools.

•

Procure building materials.

•

Follows all city, state, and national building codes and regulations.

•

Submit all paperwork in a timely fashion using company-provided tablets.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

•

Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, lifting at least 60 pounds, and the ability to show up for work every day, rested and ready to go.

Communicates effectively with teammates.

•

Works well independently and as part of a team.

•

Willingness and interest in learning.

•

Knows construction math skills, including how to convert quantities, take measurements, and solve basic equations.

REQUIREMENTS

•

High school diploma or equivalent

•

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

•

A reliable vehicle to commute to and from job sites

•

Willingness to acquire necessary certification and training (company paid)

•

Possess basic hand tools and toolbags

•

Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and familiar with OSHA regulations.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
