We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineering Intern within the Non-Safety l&C Systems Engineering – Turbine & Balance of Plant Systems area of Westinghouse. This Engineering area is responsible for operating plant upgrades of existing analog to digital control systems as well as new plant design (such as the AP1000). These operating plant upgrades and new plant designs are completed using the Ovation® platform with projects ranging in size and scope globally.
In this position, Control Systems Engineering Intern can expect to be involved in the following activities:
Engineering intern (electrical / mechanical) that is interested in process automation and instruments and control systems.
Candidate should be fluent in Windows programs such as WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS and VISIO.
Desire to learn distributed control systems both software and hardware as well as learning certain processes that may require mechanical understanding.
Requires strong communication skills as position requires editing or creating design documentation such as drawings and test procedures or other needed support documents.
Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual depending on assigned tasks.
Willing to provide hands-on work to help setup or run tests on equipment during factory acceptance testing or other needed activities.
