Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Copper Phone Splicer to join our team in the Southern New Hampshire area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of copper cable systems for voice and data services. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Responsibilities:
•
Splice, terminate, and test copper cables in aerial, underground, and buried environments
•
Troubleshoot and repair service outages and degraded copper circuits
•
Read and interpret cable schematics, work orders, and splicing diagrams
•
Operate tools and equipment safely, including splicing tools, test sets, and cable locators
•
Maintain accurate records of work performed, cable routing, and completed splices
•
Work in manholes, hand holes, and on poles when necessary
•
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members
•
Follow all safety procedures and regulations
Requirements:
•
2+ years of experience as a copper splicer or telecommunications technician
•
Strong understanding of copper cable systems and splicing techniques
•
Ability to read and understand technical documents and schematics
•
Comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces
•
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
•
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.25 - $27.35 per hour
