JOB SUMMARY

Supports and promotes ERCOT’s public reputation by informing audiences about electric grid and market activities, challenges, accomplishments and priorities. Provides extensive writing, editing, information-gathering and visual communications support for a wide range of organizational activities, including internal and external communications activities, internet communications, social media communications, media relations, public information requests, reports and presentations, and electronic newsletters. Write and edit one-pagers, fact sheets, presentations, web content, scripts, and other internal and external communications material.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES* Assist team in gathering requirements to create written material for various communication efforts (digital and print).

Level 1* Operates and maintains the Public Information Request apparatus, using research and knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements to determine appropriate responses

Level 2 – Above +* Contributes to the writing and distribution of communications with news media and other external audiences, including news releases and Internet communications and social media

Level Senior – Above +* Serves as a Subject Matter Expert providing guidance to lower level workers

EXPERIENCE* Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements

EDUCATION* Bachelor's Degree : Journalism, Communication or related field (Required)

Expected Salary Range:

$84,283 - $143,296
