We are currently searching for a Crusher/Loader Operator to join our team.

The Crusher/Loader Operator will perform tasks essential for the production of sand, gravel, and topsoil products. This includes the skilled work primarily of operating a front end loader with occasional operation of other construction machines such as crushers, dozers, excavators, and off road haul trucks in order to transfer materials within the crushing operation.

This position is a full-time seasonal position typically working Monday-Friday, limited weekends, approximately 50 hours/week. Job sites are primarily located in the Northern Michigan area and overnight travel is not normally required. Essential Duties

•

Work as part of a team to complete projects with a priority on safety, then quality, and productivity

•

Understand proper operating techniques and use machines appropriately

•

Check and maintain equipment fluid levels and perform routine machine care, including greasing

•

Operate machines is a safe and controlled manner

•

Be mindful and aware of surrounding conditions

•

Able to think ahead and see next steps

•

Know and follow appropriate OSHA and MSHA rules regarding machine operation

•

Other duties as required and directed by the site foreman

•

Safely and accurately load trucks with sand and gravel products

Qualifications and Requirements

•

Experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment is preferred

•

Display a respectful and positive attitude

•

Able to work in a variety of outside weather conditions

•

Able to assist and help with manual labor tasks at times and when appropriate

•

Able to perform and understand basic math required for construction

•

Must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to learn

•

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

•

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

•

Must have strong work ethic and be dependable and consistent
