Job Posting: Experienced Crusher Operator

Location: Remote Fly-in Camp, Nunavut

Rotation:3 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Background Checks: Drug & Alcohol screening and criminal record check will be conducted

Tamatta Mining & Construction

is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our reputable clients for an

experienced

Crusher Operator.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Uphold health and safety protocols by adhering to company policies and acting responsibly at all times during shifts

•

Primarily operate the crusher, with occasional operation of other heavy equipment such as loaders or rock trucks to move, load, and process materials like earth, rock, and gravel in a safe manner

•

Complete daily shift documentation, including equipment inspections, load sheets, and hazard assessments

•

Conduct pre-operation checks, including cleaning, lubricating, and refilling fluids for machinery

•

Participate actively in pre-shift safety briefings and meetings

•

Maintain cleanliness and organization within equipment cabs

•

Follow all safety standards, regulations, and site-specific rules

•

Engage in any required on-site training sessions

•

Perform general labor tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications & Experience:

•

Minimum of 5 years of crusher operation experience in a mining or heavy civil construction environment

•

Knowledge of heavy civil and mining operations, including loading and hauling

•

Valid driver’s license required

•

Proven safety record, with experience working within a safety-focused culture in a fast-paced environment

•

Experience working in remote mining or industrial sites is essential

•

Self-driven with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

•

Willing to travel for work assignments

•

Physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks

•

Able to maintain high performance levels during 12-hour shifts

Preferred Certifications:

•

Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, TDG, and Fall Protection are highly desirable

Compensation & Benefits:

•

Daily blended rate of $600-$700, based on a 12-hour shift, experience, and certifications

•

Travel to and from the project site from Edmonton, Alberta, or Yellowknife, NWT, is required, with a travel allowance provided

•

Rotation schedule of 3 weeks on-site, followed by 3 weeks off
