About the Role

The Certified Damage Prevention Technician will report to the Operations Lead. The position will play a key role in safety and quality while driving, parking, and performing audits on marked gas lines. This position requires a high level of physical activity and working in a wide variety of weather conditions.

Salary Transparency: For those residing in New York, the pay rate for this role is at $18/hour.

What You’ll Do

+ Assure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices + Follow strict Utility, State and Federal guidelines relating to damage prevention + Wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and company uniform + Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures + Participate in safety meetings + Hand out educational materials and public awareness items to excavators + Visit 3rd party excavation sites and construction zones regularly + Collect data using handheld tablet or other collection device + Show courtesy and professionalism when dealing with customers and other employees + Complete Work Orders on assigned dates + Travel to visit sites on occasion

+ Provide timely reports and documentation to management regularly + Escalate issues and questions to Supervisor when necessary + Maintain a satisfactory attendance record + Keep assigned vehicle clean + Report equipment and vehicle issues immediately + Communicate with dispatchers
