Data Center Safey Technician Job Description:

Summary: The site maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties of inspecting equipment and machinery, locating potential hazards in the workplace, maintaining safety programs, intervening in unsafe acts, and providing employee safety training.

DESCRIPTION

•

Help implement and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

•

Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards

•

Provide safety training to employees and management on a regular basis

•

Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans

•

Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management

•

Maintain safety records and documentation

•

Participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) process and helps ensure completion of high quality and documented Risk Assessments

•

Conduct New Hire Safety training, Annual Safety training, Material Handling Equipment safety training, Contractor Safety training, and other training as needed

COMPETENCIES

Able to interact and communicate with others (English and Spanish).

•

Working knowledge of basic building construction maintenance

•

Must be flexible and quickly adjust to changes in job demand

Dependable and Punctual

Understanding and following all appropriate government rules, standards, and regulations

•

Finding solutions that serve to combat and control workplace hazards

•

Using technical skills to operate computers or testing equipment.

•

Available to work full time in 10–12-hour shifts in high heat index and cold weather climates including nights and weekends

•

Detail-oriented and highly organized

EXPERIENCE

•

High school diploma or GED certificate

•

Must possess a valid driver's license

•

OSHA 10- or 30-hour card preferred

•

Candidates cannot have any sex offender convictions, or any felonies and/or theft convictions within the last 7 years

•

Available to work full time in 10–12-hour shifts in high heat index and cold weather climates including nights and weekends

•

Detail-oriented and highly organized.

•

Communicate safety concerns.

•

Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards

•

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•

Able to work independently and as part of a team

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Requirements:

•

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety a plus

•

Prior experience in cryptocurrency mining

•

Good understanding of software; including Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps.

•

Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

•

Forklift Operation Experience.

Compensation:

Shift: (Day shift) Monday-Friday 7AM-5:30PM

•

1099 Contract

•

Pay Rate: $26 - $35/hour Straight Time

•

1.5X for Overtime

•

$75-$100/day Per Diem depending on home address

•

Weekly Pay

•

50 hours per week minimum

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
