Job Description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Mechanic/Lowboy operator to work out of the Maple Grove Maintenance Facility. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently repairing, fabricating, and maintaining equipment. Also operating lowboy as needed involving loading, unloading, and transporting heavy equipment and attachments from site to site in a safe and timely manner. This is a union position and membership in the Minnesota Teamsters Local 120 is required.

Work Environment

This role will be based out of the maintenance facility in Maple Grove, Minnesota – 75% in a shop setting, 25% in the field/outdoor, and on public roadways operating lowboy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to feel, or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at an average of 46 hours per week and may require additional overtime as needed. A typical shift is from 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM M-F.

Salary Posting

We are excited to share the base salary rate for this position is $38.01. Conditions and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
