Job Description:
Fogarty Electric & General Contracting is seeking a motivated and reliable 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will continue progressing through their apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience on a wide range of electrical installations, maintenance, and service tasks under the supervision of our licensed electrician. Applicants not actively in an electrical apprenticeship program will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
•Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components
•Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
•Pull wire, install conduit, and assist with panel work
•Follow all safety procedures
•Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all work activities.
•Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and in accordance with NEC standards
•Support experienced electricians in working with both high voltage and low voltage systems.
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
•Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in the electrical field.
Requirements:
•Registered as a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice
•Completion of 2nd year schooling and experience on-site
•Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
•Understanding of high voltage and low voltage systems
•Familiarity with hand and power tools used in the electrical trade
•Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
•Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in various environments.
•Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
