We are looking for an electrochemistry technician to join our R&D department.
YOUR MISSION
Reporting to the Research and Development Director, the electrochemistry technician will be mainly responsible for performing electrochemical testing on the anode materials for lithium-ion cells. You will prepare electrodes, fabricate button cells, and perform cycling tests to evaluate material performance.
Perform tasks to fabricate button cells (ink preparation, coating, calendering, cutting and drying, assembly and crimping).
Perform testing on the electrochemical cycling platform, enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS), and analyze data.
Draft technical reports.
Manage waste.
Ensure that the equipment is calibrated and working properly.
YOUR SKILLS PROFILE
DCS in analytical chemistry. A bachelor’s degree will also be considered.
Knowledge of electrode and button-cell fabrication is an asset.
Experience with glovebox work is an asset.
Knowledge of EC-Lab software is an asset.
Experience working with LIMS platforms and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
