Job Description
This position is responsible for lawn maintenance on residential and commercial properties. Employee will report directly to Crew Leader and will assist and learn the following responsibilities. This is an entry level position. No Experience is required however we do require the self motivation and drive to learn and advance within the company.
Responsibilities
•
Assist in daily preparation of trucks and equipment
•
Load gas cans, mowers, and other equipment and secure it properly.
•
Report on time every day.
•
Openly receive training for field needs, safety, equipment, technique, etc.
•
Perform maintenance tasks on client’s properties.
•
Address questions or concerns with clients by forwarding them onto the Supervisor. Communicate customer opportunities immediately with the office manager.
•
Work with Crew Leader to ensure the work contracted is implemented efficiently and according to the contract specifications.
•
Provide labor associated with the maintenance of all lawns & garden beds, including clean outs.
•
Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, and blowing.
•
Proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment and practices of the crew.
•
Keep work vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
•
Perform such other activities as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.
•
End of day duties
•
Complete time sheet.
•
Inventory and report all materials used on the job that day.
•
Review the whole week's jobs and prepare for the next day's jobs.
•
Unload/load equipment and material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily.
•
Wash dirty equipment (including all mower decks) and return to storage location. Report damaged or broken equipment to Supervisor immediately (even if you caused the damage, we would rather know what happened right away than discover it later.)
•

Fill trucks, mowers, equipment, and cans with fuel additive & fuel in preparation for the next day or as necessary.
•
Maintain strict adherence to the employee handbook as is required for all employees.
•
Actively participate in team meetings.
•
Sweep the shop, sharpen blades, and perform other duties as needed when asked.

High ability to deal with a sometimes high-stress environment while keeping your composure on and off the job.
•
Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in any and all adverse weather conditions.
•
Stoop, stand and bend for 10+ hours a day.
•
Strong knowledge of land care maintenance preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
