Due to the large number of projects and new regulatory compliance guidelines in the Commonwealth, the Littleton Electric Light & Water Department (LELWD) is seeking applications for an Environmental Analyst to assist with all aspects of water quality monitoring, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance for the Littleton water and sewer systems. This position will report directly to the Water & Sewer Superintendent, and may occasionally supervise interns.
The position requires at minimum a B.S. in Science or Engineering, and a valid Class D Massachusetts’ Driver’s License. Desired employment or internship experience includes field collection of environmental data, data analysis and reporting, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The candidate must be fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Upon hire, they must pass a physical examination and drug and alcohol screening. Must obtain T1 and D1 drinking water licenses within 3 months of hire, and a 5C wastewater license within first 6 months of employment. Salary range between $55,000 - $65,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Benefits include a 4-day work week (Monday through Thursday, 6:30-4:30), enrollment in the Massachusetts Public Pension System, 12 paid holidays per year, 2 weeks’ paid vacation per year to start (up to 5 weeks depending upon years of service), 12 sick days per year, and 24 hours of personal time per year.
