Overview
As part of the Preconstruction team at ARI, the Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in the successful development and execution of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and procuring high-quality materials and components and ensuring timely deliveries.
Core Responsibilities
•Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budget constraints, and quality standards.
•Supplier Identification and Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and capacity.
•Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring that contracts are legally sound, protect the company's interests, and meet project requirements.
•Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication.
•Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
•Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, optimize stock levels, and implement strategies to minimize waste and excess costs.
•Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and cost overruns.
•Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs, ensuring that they are within budget and aligned with project goals.
•Performance Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics, such as delivery time, quality, and cost.
•Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
•Strong understanding of the utility-scale solar and battery storage market and its supply chain dynamics.
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
•Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Experience with international procurement and global supply chains.
•Familiarity with sustainability and green procurement practices.
