Summary
The CNC Machinist- Lathe and is a key part on the machine operator team. This position is responsible for the setup and program edits on CNC Swiss lathes.
Responsibilities
•
Setup production CNC Swiss lathes.
•
Change fixtures, select tooling, and edit program when necessary.
•
Prove out new programs that were created in Mastercam and optimize the programs for efficiency and stability.
•
Maintain a production schedule by operating bar fed automatic lathes when needed.
•
Inspect and document part quality.
•
Adjust tool off-sets/wear comp when needed.
Qualifications
•
5+ years of CNC Lathe setup and operate experience.
•
3+ years of CNC program editing.
•
Additional experience in programming a plus.
•
Ability to use hand measuring tools & gages (mics, calipers, indicators, etc.).
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
•
Quality inspection and documentation of manufactured parts.
