Sheet Metal Specialties Inc. (SMS) in Fall River, WI is a custom industrial fabrication shop. We don’t only fabricate we also design and install. SMS is a second-generation family-owned business in its 29th year of satisfied customers. We deal with all alloys and all welding processes. There is no project that is too big or too small. We do everything from fixing the local farmers’ implements to fabrication food grade processing equipment and everything in between.

Every individual on our team knows (or can) learn how to properly and safely operate every piece of equipment in our facility. They should know how to fabricate any project from a drawing to completion no matter what material, fabrication, or welding process is needed.

It is an exciting fast-paced work environment that is looking for individuals that can think on their feet, able to determine the most effective fabrication methods to get the job done properly, while paying attention to quality to make sure every project that goes out the door will not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations.

Basic Requirements Include:

· Mechanically inclined

· (3) years of TIG welding experience required

· (1) year fabricating (shearing, forming, rolling, etc.) required

· Basic knowledge of types of materials (sheets stock, structural materials, tubing, pipe, etc.)

· Basic knowledge of hand tools associated in metal fabrication

· (1) year Forklift/ overhead crane experience

· Read blueprints

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to climb ladders

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Follow all safety and operating instructions

· Some travel required

· Works well alone and with others

· Food grade polishing experience but not required
