TIG Welder / Assembler joins, fabricates, and repairs metal by applying the appropriate welding techniques. Builds and assembles food processing equipment. Interprets blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding process. Prepares materials for welding and inspects completed welds for company quality standards. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a manufacturing environment.
· Completed an accredited welding program or a minimum of five years TIG welding experience.
· Must be able to grind and finish welds.
· Previous manufacturing and assembly experience is desired but not required.
· Experience using electric and pneumatic hand tools.
· Able to use inspection equipment including but not limited to: tape measure, caliper, gages etc.
· Previous experience or willingness to learn how to operate forklift and platform lift heights up to twenty feet.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team-based environment with all levels of personnel.
· Understand Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
· Must be fully self-motivated; capable of working and completing assigned responsibilities independently or with full involvement of coworkers and management.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
