Solvus Global is looking for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician who will work closely with our Senior Facilities Manager and broader building management team to support equipment & building maintenance to ensure that our team is delivering the best possible service and products that we can. This role will particularly focus on installation and maintenance projects as well as a diverse set of responsibilities for equipment, facilities and trade-related support. This individual should have very strong hands-on skillset related to use of hand tools and fabrication. This person should be self-motivated and capable of independently delivering value but be willing to step in and take charge when the need arises. This person will ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes related to what they are working on. The expectation is that this person should be able to wear many hats and enjoys working across various projects and multiple facilities.


Required Attributes & Skills

2+ years of practical hands-on experience in a trade (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), maintenance or construction role (need to be a specialist in at least 1 of the fields listed)
1+ years of working in industrial manufacturing
Effective written and verbal communication including use of internal messaging systems (e.g., Slack, instant messengers) and email (e.g., Outlook)
Excellent organizational skills
Experience with equipment installations and commissioning


Advantageous Attributes & Skills

Experience with inventory management (hardware, consumables, tools, equipment, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office products (or equivalent, e.g., Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Experience with service vendors and managing them through small facilities and installation projects
Knowledge of environmental, health and safety operations and compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.)
Knowledge of 5S and Six Sigma
General knowledge of working in a machine shop
