Glacier Oil & Gas is looking to hire a Facility and Equipment Mechanic who will be responsible for planning, preparing and executing mechanical installation and repair work at the Badami Production Facility, man camp, and associated areas.

Summary

The Facility and Equipment Mechanic will serve on the field operations team to support the facility, rolling stock and camp operations. Position responsibilities include troubleshooting problematic or failed equipment, demo and new construction projects, and general manpower to assist field operations and projects.

This position is rotational working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at the Badami Facility on the North Slope (A three-week rotation may be an option if both alternates agree on that schedule).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate, troubleshoot, test, and perform mechanical repairs or maintenance tasks on production equipment, heavy equipment, all rolling stock, etc. in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner without supervision. Production equipment can include gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, gas dehydration systems, three phase separators, treaters, transmission equipment and pumps.

· Work closely with operations team, and other craft positions on a variety of maintenance projects in the Badami Production Facility.

· Perform routine PM work on all equipment and maintain equipment readiness.

· Perform roll over PMs on pumps and equipment in standby.

· Identifies opportunities for improvements in production equipment and communicates solutions to the Production Superintendent.

· Participating in facility and/or drill site modifications and special projects as needed or perform other duties as assigned by the Production Superintendent.

· Assisting in the resolution of technical problems and safety issues.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience with facility maintenance in the oil and gas industry.

· Maintain operational accountability and keep the Board Operator and Production Superintendent updated on the operational status of the assigned area.

· Notify Production Superintendent of complex maintenance issues that require corrective action.

· Communicating daily operational goals and needs effectively to operations personnel and Production Superintendent.

· Report all spills, near misses, injuries, and property damage to the Production Superintendent.

· Maintain excellent personal safety and environmental records and competently perform daily functions to ensure safe practices and environmental compliance in accordance with Glacier Oil & Gas policies.

· Responsible for participating in all safety training and assisting in safety procedures such as basic first aid, CPR, fire drills, spill response and emergency evacuation.

· Meeting and keeping current with required regulatory training, OQ qualifications for Pipeline tasks and compliance requirements.

· Demonstrate support of Glacier Oil & Gas health, safety and environmental goals to all personnel and contractors on site.

· Commitment to an established work schedule, attendance standards and punctuality to work and meetings.

Physical and Mental Requirements

· Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

· Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a facility to include the ability to gain access to work areas on elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells

· Must be able to tolerate working in the cold climate of Alaska’s North Slope for extended periods of time

· Must be able to tolerate numerous hours spent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking.

Required Qualifications

· Heavy equipment and general rolling stock repair experience

· Experience working with rotating equipment

· Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities

· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Pay

This is an hourly position with potential for annual bonuses. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
