Chief Facility Inspector - Compressor Station Operations

Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Chief Facility Inspector to oversee safety, compliance, and operational integrity of natural gas compressor stations. This senior-level position is responsible for leading comprehensive inspection programs and maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
•
Direct and perform detailed inspections of compressor stations, including mechanical equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, and auxiliary systems
•
Lead a team of facility inspectors and coordinate inspection schedules to ensure optimal facility uptime
•
Develop and implement inspection protocols and maintenance procedures according to industry standards and regulatory requirements
•
Review inspection reports, analyze data trends, and make recommendations for preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades
•
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including OSHA, DOT, and environmental standards
•
Investigate equipment failures and incidents, providing detailed analysis and corrective action plans
Required Qualifications
•
10+ years of experience in facility inspection, with at least 5 years specifically in compressor stations or similar industrial facilities
•
Extensive knowledge of compressor station operations, including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors
•
API 570 Piping Inspector certification and API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector certification
•
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
•
Strong leadership and communication skills with proven ability to manage inspection teams
