Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of power plant and all associated equipment in accordance with procedures, guidelines, and operating directives in effect. Perform skilled and semi-skilled labor in the repair and maintenance of site facilities. Maintenance tasks include intermediate carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work and other duties as assigned. Concurrently, perform and adhere to all training requirements and schedules. Training program requirements are expected to be completed within the designated time frame.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required; Desired qualifications: 5+ years maintenance experience. Experience and skills in handyman tasks including: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and beginning vehicle mechanics.
Working independently to maintain and repair facilities according to standards.
Operating and maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
Experience working with power tools and knowledge of their safe operation, knowledge of plant safety rules, probable causes of equipment and systems malfunctions.
Intermediate knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic computer skills in word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate orally with other employees including the proper use of a radio.
Ability to follow instructions and follow directions from team members.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to read and interpret work from simple and/or complex instructions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be organized, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and possess an attention to detail.
Possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you are applying.

Regularly work in unprotected heights (six feet and below) and work from towers and work platforms up to 100 feet, with require safety equipment, lifting/lowering 25 to 40 lbs., lifting carrying up to 50 and up to 100 lbs. with assistance; pushing and pulling 45 to 60 lbs.; frequent reaching, squatting, crouching, standing, balance, manual dexterity, stooping, kneeling, walking and sitting.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability and willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
