The Facility Technician will be responsible to operate a process (e.g.- plant, cryogenic plant, manned compressor stationstreatment facilities), create notifications in SAP for maintenance concerns and notify repairs that need to be made to mechanical systems, and ensure safe and reliable operations. This a broadly skilled position and a qualified individual will perform all operational and most and have the ability to troubleshoot operational concerns. This job is assigned a shift at a plant that is staffed around the clock every day. This position will support the James Lake Plant.

Responsibilities May Include:

Performs Startup, Shutdown, and operation of various equipment/systems but not limited to:

Gas compression, Cryogenic processing units, liquid handling systems

Treatment systems such as amine, glycol, etc.

Utility systems such as cooling towers, furnaces, hot oil, etc.

Conducts routine plant rounds, inspections, and operation of dehydration systems.

Operates storage and truck racks (such as condensate, wastewater, etc)

Works with others to optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications

Responds to alarms and problems within the plant and makes appropriate corrections

Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory)

Minor maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.

Participates in and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations and company policy.

Reviews and follows procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements.

Accurately completes documentation such as timesheets, SAP work orders, safe job planswork permits and regulatory reports.

Optimizes work in most effective (efficient and leveraging priority) manner, in alignment with the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and within the tenets of S.A.F.E. and Stop Work Authority.

Works autonomously at varying times and in diverse weather conditions, at remote field locations and is available for callout.

Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.

Effectively utilizes tools and tests equipment as needed.

Responds to operational emergencies.

Performs and accurately documents regulatory required inspections.

May oversee contractors providing specialty services (Quality Assurance, Quality Control).

Reads and comprehends technical procedures, and / or governmental regulations.

Writes technical reports and effectively present information to managers and general plant personnel.

Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must maintain a valid Driver’s License

Must live/relocate within 50 miles of reporting location

Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays; be available for callout

Climb various stairs and ladders, including fixed and A-frame

Frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds

Regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for durations of up to 30 minutes

Work inside or outside including times of heat, humidity, or other inclement weather conditions

To wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.

Safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of operational experience in the Oil & Gas or relevant industry

1 or more years of experience in mechanical maintenance, instrumentation and electrical experience, or measurement

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work well in both independent and team settings

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office apps (i.e. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities.
