Frontier International is hiring skilled and safety-focused Field Operators to join our U.S. Land Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations. This field-based role requires hands-on experience with MPD equipment and procedures, the ability to work in dynamic drilling environments, and a commitment to excellence in safety and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, thrive under pressure, and be comfortable working in rotational schedules and remote locations.
• Operate MPD equipment, including chokes, manifolds, and control systems in live well environments
• Maintain fluid and pressure control during drilling to optimize safety and wellbore stability
• Support the implementation of MPD procedures and best practices at the rig site
• Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor troubleshooting
• Ensure all MPD equipment is maintained in accordance with operational standards
• Participate in safety meetings and job hazard assessments
• Maintain accurate field documentation, including operational logs and incident reports
• Communicate clearly with field supervisors and drilling teams to ensure alignment
• Experience in oilfield operations, preferably in Managed Pressure Drilling
• Familiarity with rig site protocols, drilling operations, and MPD systems
• Working knowledge of MPD equipment and systems (chokes, control panels, manifolds)
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, and safety documentation
• Willingness to travel and work rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed)
• Experience working with MPD systems or similar technologies
• Ability to operate heavy field equipment is a plus
