What You'll do:

This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in accounting and financial analysis within a startup environment. You will support various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reporting and budgeting processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist in processing and managing invoices.
Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Work with accounting software to track financial transactions.
Provide general administrative support for the finance team.
Analyze financial data and assist in financial modeling when required.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures.


Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Previous experience with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).


Details of Role:

Duration: 4-8 months, based on 40 hours per week
Work Location: Calgary Head Office (In-Person)
