MUST HAVE FLOOR TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE APPLICANTS WITHOUT LISTED EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED We are seeking skilled Floor Technicians Individuals primary task will be to maintain the floors of buildings throughout Nellis Air Force Base. Janitorial duties will be performed when needed. Individual must be available to work Monday through Friday evenings. The shift is 5 hours nightly after 6PM

Hard floor care (strip, wax and burnish)

Carpet cleaning

Qualifications:

•

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK

•

MUST HAVE Previous experience in floor care

•

MUST HAVE Familiarity with floor care equipment (low & high speed buffers, carpet extractors, bonnet cleaning, square scrub machines)

•

Strong attention to detail

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial and commercial cleaning, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and floor care in various environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are not only clean but also safe and welcoming for all occupants.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing.

•

Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure carpets are well-maintained.

•

Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively, including buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.

•

Inspect floors regularly to identify areas that require special attention or repairs.

•

Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

•

Collaborate with the environmental services team to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.

•

Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as needed.

Requirements

•

Proven experience in commercial floor cleaning roles is required.

•

Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning.

•

Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus.

•

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

•

Good physical stamina; must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

•

Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.

Pay: $19.65 - $21.65 per hour
