POSITION SUMMARY:

MPC’s Galveston Bay Refinery located in Texas City, Texas, is seeking an Area Reliability Engineer.

This position supports the refinery Maintenance Department by identifying and developing equipment-related improvements. These improvements include root cause failure analysis and optimization of maintenance programs for process measurement and control Analyzers/Instrumentation and 480V Electrical equipment (LV Equipment- Motors, Electric Heat Tracing, Distribution Panels, etc.) The role also involves budgeting for planned equipment replacements, troubleshooting existing issues, implementing new solutions, and creating reliability programs focused on longer run times and safer operations. The position requires significant teamwork, collaboration, and communication across all refinery departments, as well as with various corporate entities.
