Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable General Laborer to join our team at a busy scrap yard. This position involves physical labor and supports the day-to-day operations of processing, sorting, and managing recyclable materials and scrap metal.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Sort and separate various types of metal and recyclable materials
•
Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
•
Operate forklifts, skid steers, or other machinery (training provided, if necessary)
•
Assist with general clean-up and maintenance of the yard and equipment
•
Perform general labor duties as directed by supervisor
•
Help customers with unloading and inspecting incoming scrap materials
Requirements:
•
Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions
•
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
•
Reliable transportation and punctuality
•
Willingness to learn and follow directions
•
Previous experience in a scrap yard or industrial setting is a plus
•
Forklift or heavy equipment certification is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
•
8 hour shift
•
Monday to Friday
•
Weekends as needed
Supplemental Pay:
•Overtime pay

Work Location: In person
