Job Overview
Arrow Arc Welding is a busy welding & fabrication shop operating near Gull Lake. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team of Welders.
This position is essential to the smooth operation of our projects, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that support construction and maintenance efforts, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
Duties
•
Perform general labor tasks including loading and unloading materials
•
Assist our Welding team with their duties as needed
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment & yard site
•
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace
•
Operate basic hand tools and power equipment as required
•
Move materials and equipment around
•
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
Experience
•
Mechanically inclined
•
Working knowledge of a Welding shop
•
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
•
Can operate small equipment, forklift & loader
•
Familiarity with safety practices in a labor environment is advantageous
•
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting
•
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
•
Sandblasting & Painting skills would be an asset but not required
