About This Job

RAHCAR Power Corp. Is a growing company in the Utility Construction and Maintenance Industry. We are looking for one highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, based out of Calgary Alberta.

Responsibilities for this position include:

•

Operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

•

Heavy Equipment operation will include but is not limited to derrick digger truck, backhoe, track-hoe, skid steer.

•

Performing daily safety and maintenance checks.

•

Complete routine fueling and maintenance.

•

Practicing workplace safety.

•

Ensuring heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.

•

Advising the Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repair.

•

Assisting qualified utility workers as required.

Requirements / Preferred Qualifications:

•

Must be living in Calgary area or willing to relocate prior to starting position.

•

Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment (trenching/excavation). A large portion of this role will be trenching.

•

Effective verbal and listening communication skills.

•

Ability to understand and effectively execute verbal and written directions.

•

Adheres to company Health, Safety, & Environmental reporting and standard assessments.

•

Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license (class 1 or 3 is an asset).

•

Knowledge in basic repairs considered an asset.

•

Safety conscious.

•

Detail orientated.

•

Good organization and communication skills.

Wage is negotiable based on experience.
