Overview

Responsible for working closely with employees, managers and other departments to support engagement, development, retention, recruitment, compliance and compensation for TDW's Canada sites and some US service centers.


Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Provides day to day support to managers on employee development and growth, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Executes TDW HR programs to serve the business with excellence. Programs may include merit, talent review, onboarding, employee engagement and wellbeing.
Partner with and coach business leaders to ensure employees are meeting company goals and objectives and that accomplishments are celebrated.
Maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Collaborates with total rewards, HSE, legal, finance, and other teams frequently to drive continuous improvement and solve problems.
Serves as a member of the Canadian leadership team.


Experience

Bachelor's degree in business related area of study, human resources preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of HR field experience including employee or labor relations in Alberta location.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or services environment preferred.
Previous experience working for a global company, energy industry preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Advanced knowledge of Canadian labor laws and employment practices. Some knowledge of US labor laws is preferred.
Ability to work independently and in a virtual team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across various functions, cultures and teams to positively influence leaders and employees.
Ability to work in a matrix environment with HR colleagues and operations professionals.
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel up to 10% of time including international.
Ability to work in office, minimum 3 days per week. First 90 days of onboarding will all be on-site.
