We are looking for a motivated and hardworking HVAC Installation Helper to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Summary:
The HVAC Installation Helper will assist our experienced installation technicians with the installation, replacement, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in both residential properties. This entry-level role is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the HVAC industry, providing the opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Assist HVAC installers with the delivery and installation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
•
Unload and transport equipment, materials, and tools to job sites.
•
Prepare the job site, ensuring safety and organization of tools and materials.
•
Cut, fit, and assemble ductwork, piping, and other HVAC components under the guidance of senior installers.
•
Install and connect system components such as thermostats, air handlers, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
•
Assist with system start-ups, test operations, and troubleshoot basic issues as needed.
•
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
•
Provide excellent customer service by communicating respectfully with clients and maintaining professionalism on the job.
•
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and customers.
•
Assist with paperwork and documentation related to installations (e.g., work orders, time tracking, etc.).
•
Participate in training sessions and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or vocational training in HVAC is a plus.
•
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction methods.
•
Strong willingness to learn and grow in the HVAC field.
•
Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs or more).
•
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, etc.).
•
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
•
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
•
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours when needed.
•
Previous experience in construction or HVAC is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
