As an HVAC Technician, you would perform a variety of electrical and mechanical work related to the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, installation and repair and of all critical HVAC systems associated with Central Arizona Project (CAP) pumping plants, administrative campuses, server rooms, mountaintop telecommunication, checks and turnout structures, and groundwater recharge facilities. Equipment includes chillers, pumps, cooling towers, DX package air conditioners and heat pumps, data process and telecommunications environmental controls, direct digital controls, EMS systems, electric boilers, and large air handlers. Frequent in-state travel Mondays – Thursdays is part of the job.
About the Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certifications or Licenses: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record. Must possess Refrigerant transition and recovery certification universal type as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F, by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Preference given to candidates who have the following:* Highly proficient in other industrial HVAC system components, evaporative coolers, electric boilers, and data center/ telecommunications environmental equipment.
