Nyati Services is seeking talented I&E Designers to help bring meaningful, marketable solutions to applications that will serve the ever-growing and evolving energy industries. This position will contribute to a diligent, fast paced team in creating design reviews and build outs all the way through commissioning and service for the various projects. The role will require a technical field application background to meet the technical diversity in issues that may arise throughout different stages of projects. The position is full-time and located in Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities

•

The Instrumentation & Electrical Designer will be responsible for conceptualization, development, and final execution of various I&E projects

•

Design PLC based control panels, including power supply selection, assignment of I/O, network architecture, panel layout, junction box drawings, and power distribution based upon project requirements

•

Generate I/O list, load list, cable schedules, conduit layouts, cable tray layouts, lighting, safety systems, bills of materials, and other technical drawings as needed

•

General electrical arrangement / plan view / elevation details for panel and equipment

•

Coordinate with vendors and review their drawings to incorporate the required information into project design

•

Apply any/all local, national, and client standards when performing electrical design efforts

•

Perform other duties as required

Requirements

•

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in electrical design

•

Instrumentation background and understanding of manufacturer product lines

•

Proficient in the use of current releases of AutoCAD (2015 or later)

•

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

•

Ability to work flexible hours more than a 40-hour schedule when required

•

May travel to project sites to collect field data and be out of town for multiple days at a time

•

Pre-employment and random drug screening

Preferred

•

Ability to size breakers, motor starters, VFD’s, transformers, and various electrical equipment

•

Thorough understanding and ability to apply the requirements of NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC) during the design process

•

Experienced in sizing wire, conduit, cable tray systems, etc.

Education/Skills

•

3-5 years’ experience with AutoCAD

•

AS/BS degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred)
