The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

Future challenges

Reporting to the Mining Engineer, the Senior Mine Planner is responsible for planning, organizing, designing, and overseeing the execution, supervision, and management of various mining operations for both open-pit and underground mines. His main responsibilities include:

•

Producing underground development and production plans, as well as surface drilling and blasting plans, and obtaining approval from the engineers;

•

Acting as a mentor to mine planners to optimize work methods and ensure operational efficiency;

•

Processing, verifying, validating, and compiling collected data to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards;

•

Developing optimization projects to improve the efficiency of mining operations;

•

Preparing weekly planning for underground work, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and departments;

•

Performing any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

What we are looking for

•

University degree or a technical diploma in mining;

•

Have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or its equivalent;

•

Strong understanding of surface and underground mining methods;

•

Experience in the exploitation of magmatic deposits of nickel and platinum group metals (asset);

•

Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;

•

Familiarity with Deswik software is an asset;

•

Valid driver's license required;

•

General explosives handling permit, as well as the FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5 and 7);

•

Due to frequent communication with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve internal communications.
