Day position that will require some call-out work at night.
Primary Purpose
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify electrical devices and systems associated with feeder and branch circuits and over-current protection. Works with maintenance team to ensure facility uptime.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Job Description
•Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
•Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, switches, sensors, timers, transformer, VFDs, and motor controls.
•Selects and purchases electrical equipment as needed.
•Operates equipment and tools to complete such work as cutting, threading, bending conduit, removing and replacing conduit and fittings and junction boxes.
•Draws, reads and interprets electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
•Independently operating on low voltage and high voltage R&M tasks
•Working on/with PLC`s, process computers, power current, packaging lines and field instrumentation.
•Taking corrective and preventive measures based on a view of the overall production process.
•Independently performing all supporting tasks.
•Work with maintenance supervisor to complete any additional task or assist mechanical side from time to time on other assignments.
•Operate fork lift or similar machinery
Education & Experience Requirements
•High School or General Education Degree (GED)
•At least 4 years of verifiable industrial experience; Journeyman Electrician or Master preferred.
•Strong electrical/control troubleshooting preferred.
•Skills in instrumentation: Motor controls, 4-20MA testing equipment, Fluke testing equipment, Fluke megger, Honeywell, Siemens PLCs, thermocouple and RTD.
