Job Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to minimize downtime and maximize productivity at our geothermal power plants.
Note: The base reporting power plant is in Imlay NV; travel to other power plants will be necessary on occasion
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
•Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical malfunctions to minimize production downtime
•Replace or repair defective parts using tools and equipment
•Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment
•Monitor and maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
•Assisting in the installation, commissioning, and calibrating of new equipment.
•Monitor performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance
•Adherent to workplace safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
•Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment complies with safety and environmental standards
•Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly
•Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to diagnose and repair machinery
•Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts used, and work orders
•Work closely with production teams to understand equipment requirements and address issues proactively
•Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts procurement and service support
•Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to prepare reports and manage data
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as a task requires
•Competency with Microsoft Office computer systems and software
•Ability to conduct all functions with honesty and integrity
•Ability to drive positive and productive outcomes
Education and Experience:
•High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
•A technical diploma or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field
•Proven experience in industrial or geothermal maintenance
•Experience working on geothermal renewable energy work sites
•Knowledge of the “FIIX” work order program
Physical and work environment requirements:
•Ability to lift to 50lbs
•Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (i.e., hot, cold, etc.)
•Requires standing, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy objects
•Must be able to traverse all areas of construction sites
•Must be able to travel to various locations
•Must be able to inspect construction sites, systems, and projects
•Must be able to operate a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license
