Instrumentation & Control Technician Sr

NOTE: This pay range represents a general target and is not reflective of the full pay range. Offers to selected candidates are contingent upon various factors such as skills, experience and education.

At LCRA, we are seeking a driven Instrumentation & Control Technician Senior to join our team in Lost Pines! In this role you will help support a diverse fleet of instrumentation, control equipment, monitoring equipment and related systems. Our ideal candidate would use experience and best practice to improve systems and take a new perspective to solve complex problems. You will be trusted to:

- Identify potential and actual problems and determines of appropriate corrective actions to be taken.

- Read and interpret diagrams and prints.

- Document changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and record keeping practices.

- Operate handheld testing, calibration, installation and maintenance tools and equipment.

- Follow tag-out procedures when performing work duties and ensures tag-out procedures are followed by other team members.

You qualify with:

- Nine or more years' experience in installation, maintenance and/or repair of instrumentation, control equipment or monitoring equipment or relevant experience. A degree in electronics, instrumentation, SCADA, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

- Driver's license required if traveling to work at various locations.

- Experience with analog and digital circuitry

- Experience with human-machine interface software and systems

- Experience with control systems and equipment (e.g., distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers)

- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

- Experience with valve actuators
