Job Description:
As the Inventory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the inventory department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management. You will lead a team of inventory clerks, manage inventory control systems, and collaborate with various departments to maintain optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and supervision, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and lead a team of inventory clerks, ensuring tasks are completed on time and accurately.
•Oversee the inventory control processes, including stock receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment.
•Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies with inventory records.
•Maintain and update inventory management systems, ensuring accurate data and reporting.
•Work with procurement and sales teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
•Develop and implement processes to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
•Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators.
•Train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure a high level of performance.
•Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
•Proven experience as an Inventory Supervisor or in a similar inventory management role.
•Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
•Experience with inventory management software and ERP.
•Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
•Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on inventory trends and forecasts.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
