Job Summary
The Company is seeking a hands-on Junior Analyst, of Corporate Accounting with a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to support timely close process. This role’s primary focus will be adding as much value as possible to the accounting department by performing monthly and quarterly accounting tasks. This will entail collaborating with various departments, account reconciliations, support accounts receivable, and processing expense reports. Reporting to the Supervisor of Corporate Accounting, the successful candidate must be versatile and proactive with a solid work ethic.
This position is based at the HQ office (Downtown) and minimal travel is required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
•Responsible for review and processing employee expense reports to ensure all adhere with company travel and expense policies and guidelines.
•Process and reconcile incoming cash receipts and check deposit process to ensure proper application.
•Assists with reconciling credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and match appropriate reports in Concur.
•Prepare and assist with the monthly close cash entries to ensure a prompt month end cash close.
•Analyze, generate and process intercompany entries and invoices needed to adjust or reallocate expenses between entities.
•Responsible for administration of Concur application (cloud-based software Freeport LNG uses for expense reports and company credit cards).
•Participates in the monthly close process ensuring it is completed timely and accurately (journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, reports, etc.).
•Assist in review of completeness and provide approval for new vendor setups as needed.
•Provide support and respond to employee inquiries on how to use Concur, resolve issues, and clarify expense report guidelines.
•Prepare and maintain desktop procedures and process narratives.
•Provide support for general accounting duties, including assisting with journal entries, preparing documents for audits, and maintaining accounting records.
•Interacts with other internal departments to research and resolve accounting related matters, and provide monthly reports.
•Interact and work closely with other members of the accounting group ensuring coordination and collaboration as necessary.
•Participate on ad hoc projects as required.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum Education Required:
•Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum Experience Required:
•1-2 years of experience in Accounting or relevant field
Preferred Experience:
•Experience with SAP ECC is a plus
•Experience with Blackline is a plus
•Experience with Concur is a plus

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
